Machine of Death anthology cover art revealed

And wow!  It’s a beauty!

From the MoD site:  “After a long year of excitement, disappointment, renewed excitement, continued disappointment, thickheadedness, obstinacy and relief, we are pleased to announce that Machine of Death will be officially released this October by Bearstache Books, the boutique printing arm of Wondermark Enterprises.”

My story for this one, “Flaming Marshmallow and Other Deaths,” was the first short story I ever wrote.  You might have heard it on Escape Pod, or read it in PUSH OF THE SKY.

PUSH OF THE SKY an Endeavour Award finalist!

PUSH OF THE SKY is an Endeavour Award finalist for books by Northwest authors published in 2009!

 

The other finalists: City Without End by Kay Kenyon, Eyes Like Sky and Coal and Moonlight by Cat Rambo, Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs, and Mind Over Ship by David Marusek.

Winner to be announced at OryCon in Portland, Oregon.  I almost hit the floor when publisher of awesomeness Eric T. Reynolds of Hadley Rille Books called me yesterday.  My huge thanks to him.
